What's the choice? We are at a very important choice-point about the way that our city is going to look 50 years from now: any decision about the urban canyons is going to close off other options. This white paper begins with the problem of sewer lines in canyons, but goes on to pose a larger question about San Diego's canyons: Will the benefits of a wild and vanishing ecosytem, accessible and free, be recognized?
